WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT? START HERE

While some of you have probably followed a diet or exercise program, many of you are fairly new to the game.
To help you through the fairly overwhelming world of weight loss, fitness and nutrition, I’ve compiled a beginner’s guide. A Quick Start guide of sorts.

First, a note: Please don’t try to go through this all at once. There are days and days worth of reading here. I’ve just organized that so that you can go to the stuff you want to learn about first.

Nothing of what I say in this is new or revolutionary, in some cases I will reference and link other sites since usually they have a better way of putting an idea across.

Above all, more than just following a diet or workout, try to understand why it is effective and learn to listen to your body and adjust accordingly. In everything I encourage you to take baby steps.

I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT

If you are overweight and want to lose weight, this is for you. How much weight you have to lose (or want to lose) will determine how we go ahead:

I want to lose more than 10-15kg (25lbs)
